Just Trust It

I really love the poetic flowing rhythm of this writer’s posts! With the pictures, she brings deeper awareness in a deceptively short and to the point way,

The meeting of two enormous forces, consciousness, rising, elevated beyond earth. Spectacular. Cataclysmic, a shock wave running along water, spokes spiraling, loud, crashing against earth, the shoreline dramatically changed. Our lives, changed. Thankfully. In this moment, heart in hand, the world showing its power, our vulnerability, it almost ended. And, therein, happiness, clinging to life, to love.

If ever we needed to vote…

If we just complain about the cabal/illuminati/shadow govt running things in ways we don’t like, nothing will change. But if we get out and get active, if we vote and if we work to create real change from the ground up in our communities whether thru political activism, or other ways like permaculture, Transition Town initiatives, community gardens, helping at risk youth-whatever YOU are good at and love doing that can improve your community-don’t hesitate to get out there and DO it!

A must see by Rev. Barber…

As Civil Rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) said so well at the Democratic National Convention this summer:

“My dear friends, your vote is precious, almost sacred,” Lewis said. “It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have to create a more perfect union.”

Recipe: Boudin Egg Rolls

This sounds really yummy! I have learned to adapt recipes for celiac(gluten intolerant) and allergy diets over the years so if anyone is interested let me know and I will try re-tooling this for those who can’t have what it calls for but want to try the flavors. (I will end up doing it eventually since it sounds so good!)

One of my favorite things about cooking is the opportunity to fuse ethnic dishes. In this case, it’s the Chinese egg roll and Cajun boudin into Boudin Egg Rolls. I call it Casian cuisine. And man, are they good.

I used boudin straight from Lafayette, but the store-bought kind will probably work as well. In my opinion, the smokier you can find, the better.

  • 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chili oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. boudin
  • 10 egg roll wrappers

    1. In a Dutch oven or other heavy-bottomed pot, heat oils to 350F over medium-high heat.
  1. Remove the boudin from the casing.
  2. Finely chop up casing and add to boudin. NOTE: Adding the casings back in is optional.
  3. Place 2 TBSP boudin in center of each egg roll wrapper.
  4. Wrap from bottom up and then fold the sides in and top down.
  5. Fry until golden brown on…

The Way of Love Blog

Nancy B. Detweiler, M.Ed., M.Div.

Recently, repeatedly statements by our galactic family through a variety of channels made me question the way in which the New Thought/New Age metaphysical teachings have led us to think and create.

We have been instructed to focus on the positive and give no energy to the negative.  Our thoughts are energy; energy is neutral until we color it by the way in which we direct our thoughts.  Energy focused on the positive increases the positive; energy focused on the negative increases the negative.

Although I have found these metaphysical teachings to be extremely meaningful, I am now suspecting that they constitute only one step on the path to ascension to the 5th dimension.  This Path to ascension and co-creation also includes some very subtle steps that are just now emerging into our…
