Spirit In Action

Change IS coming. WE can make it GOOD.

Perhaps I am biased;-) but I see this as confirmation that the resurgence of indigenous worldviews and lifeways thru decolonization and #IdleNoMore is a natural part of this Shift and a process by which we can bring about in the physical what we already know and experience at the spiritual level. That is exactly what I was taught was how to live-you know the Universal truths in your heart so you need to live them day to day, to act in the physical world as tho each action comes from those truths and not from petty things like fear or anger. Thank you to Laura for sharing this!

Disseminating Moon Phase – Moon in Leo/Virgo

There is beautiful energy in place for harnessing personal power and beginning anew. It’s not a natural time for a new beginning (that would be with New Moons) but there is much to work with if you want to start something. Disseminating Moon phase is the time for sharing. What we share with each other builds our awareness and provides information we need on our personal journeys.

Be aware that there is an element today where things are not as they appear (including some people). This is not a good day to sign anything important or to commit to something you aren’t one hundred percent sure about. There’s too much potential for deception.

Thank you for posting this, Jean! As one of the founders/creators of a local Occupy that was targeted by COINTELPRO tactics VERY effectively(we went from 300 very active, excited, well informed and mostly experienced members to about 10 regulars in a few months time thanks to well targeted and persistent disruptions) this article does the very opposite of scare me away.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you-then you WIN!:-)

They’ve now blocked me pretty effectively from posting my own writing on my blog, or from posting or sharing *anything* on facebook. They’ve stalked me, harassed me,tried to kill me (jury still out on if they have succeeded);-/ but far from giving them any advantage-as soon as I was totally unable to post I found other blogs posting exactly the things I was trying to post, as soon as I was too ill to march in the streets I find there are hundreds to replace me-

As Blackfire says “For every One you lock up , there’ll be a thousand more!”;-)

Much thanks to all those digging out this info and posting and getting it into the public eye. The more aware people are, the worse these tactics work.

Targeted activists who die often become martyrs, like Rachel Corrie, Gypsy Chain, and MLK-the movements they worked for becoming more powerful and successful not only in spite of their loss, but because of the outrage over it. (The same appears to be happening with the young woman who was raped in India who has now passed-her suffering has galvanized the people of India to rise and say No More! This is going to continue all over the world-the more they cause harm to the innocent, the more people will rise to remove them)

Everyone in Occupy knows it is NOT about US, and it won’t be stopped by killing us, or scaring us off. Occupy, like #IdleNoMore, is an expression of a much deeper reality; that the people of Earth are *DONE* being slaves.

Just like trying to cap an active volcano, or cut the head off a hydra-disrupting Occupy did not stop the momentum: pushed down by COINTELPRO and violence, the energy that was erupting thru Occupy shifted and is now rising thru #IdleNoMore. Cut that head off, and more will appear.

Canada has become one of the wealthiest countries in the world by using the land and resources. Canadian mining, logging, oil and fishing companies are the most powerful in the world due to land and resources. Some of the poorest First Nations communities (such as Attawapiskat) have mines or other developments on their land but do not get a share of the profit. The taking of resources has left many lands and waters poisoned – the animals and plants are dying in many areas in Canada. We cannot live without the land and water. We have laws older than this colonial government about how to live with the land.(Excerpt from post) Please read and share widely- The paragraph above is not only true in Canada, it is true of indigenous lands and peoples in every part of the Earth. This is one of the fundamental *wrongs* upon which the false culture and its insanely destructive reality are built. Until we right THIS wrong NONE of the other things including the financial lawsuits, the “prosperity funds”, or any of the other promised changes can make a real difference. Colonization-taking the control of the land from those who live in relationship with the land in order to exploit the land and the people is the foundation that the rest is built on. As long as you ignore this, you will never achieve the “world that works for everyone” that is so much discussed and desired.

We must repair these violations, live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.

#IdleNoMore page “Manifesto”:

We contend that:
The Treaties are nation to nation agreements between Canada and First Nations who are sovereign nations. The Treaties are agreements that cannot be altered or broken by one side of the two Nations. The spirit and intent of the Treaty agreements meant that First Nations peoples would share the land, but retain their inherent rights to lands and resources. Instead, First Nations have experienced a history of colonization which has resulted in outstanding land claims, lack of resources and unequal funding for services such as education and housing.

Canada has become one of the wealthiest countries in the world by using the land and resources. Canadian mining, logging, oil and fishing companies are the most powerful in the world due…

This is an even more brilliant refutation of the nonsense I mentioned yesterday from Annett. No matter who or how this movement started, this is not controlled by anyone. This is the people standing together, working together to create a better future. All the attempts at “divide and conquer” are finally being shrugged off, we are not just our racial or tribal affiliations, nor our national affiliations-we are at heart one people all over this planet and as WE wake up to this, and join together to take back what was always ours, those who have for so long sought to divide us, sought to steal from us and cause harm and suffering-whether we call them colonizers, or 1%ers, “elites” or “illuminati” or “cabal” they know THIS has always been their very greatest fear. Please read and share this, but more importantly, share your own connection to this. Open your heart and feel your connection to us all. Recognize that tho this is being led by First Nations people of Canada, that what is being done to them is being done to us all-and by standing up with them we are standing up not only for them, but for us all.

We are united now and no matter what, THIS is what they were afraid of. And when we look around at each other and learn from each other, we realize no matter what – we have already won.

On December 10, 2012, thousands of our Native Brothers and Sisters in Canada took to the streets in the face of a grassroots movement entitled #IdleNoMore. According to the IdleNoMore.com website, this movement calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water. Colonization continues through attacks to Indigenous rights and damage to the land and water. We must repair these violations; live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.

Aimed at righting the injustices placed on Native people– Idle No More events are attracting…

This is excellent! Please read and share widely! I hope since the man was elected to lead a country he can understand and respond to this letter outlining the laws that he is currently ignoring and abrogating with both C-45 and his irrational obnoxiousness in refusing to meet with, or even acknowledge Chief Theresa’s reasonable request. (With much gratitude to Mohawk Workers blog for posting this!)

December 29, 2012 letter from Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada

The Right Honourable Stephen Harper
Office of the Prime Minister
80 Wellington Street
Ottawa, ON  K1A 0A2
Fax: 613-941-6900
E-mail: stephen.harper@parl.gc.ca; pm@pm.gc.ca

Dear Prime Minister,

Re: Meeting requested by Chief Theresa Spence of Attiwapiskat

We write to urge that you immediately arrange a meeting as requested by Chief Theresa Spence. Chief Spence wants a meeting on a Nation to Nation basis with the Prime Minister, the Crown, and the Provincial and Territorial leaders along with all the First Nations leaders to discuss First Nations’ inherent and treaty rights. The critical issues sought to be discussed are of concern not only to First Nations peoples in Canada but to all Canadians. Chief Spence has called on you to carry out your duties as the Prime Minister of Canada in a manner that accords with your duty to promote, maintain and protect…
