Let Another Nation Declare War for U.S. — Seriously?
Three days after 9/11, Congress gave presidents the power to launch wars. Now a resolution in the Senate would effectively allow a foreign nation to launch the United States into a war.
Following a long list of falsehoods and half-truths about Iran, S.R.65 “urges that, if the Government of Israel is compelled to take military action in self-defense, the United States Government should stand with Israel and provide diplomatic, military, and economic support.”
This is “self-defense” in the sense that the U.S. attack on Iraq was “self-defense.”
Tell the Senate to obey the U.S. Constitution.

The most powerful nation on earth is being played like a puppet by a small nation, it is amazing this is happening.

It is amazing isn’t it? It does make rather more plain that much more is controlled from behind the scenes and out of public view than we would guess-since the normal “rules” of international politics and power would not normally predict this sort of oddness….
