“We’re Only Just Begun”
LYRICS by The Carpenters
We’ve only just begun to live,
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we’re on our way.
We’ve just begun.
Before the rising sun we fly,
So many roads to choose
We start out walking and learn to run.
And yes, We’ve just begun.
Sharing horizons that are new to us,
Watching the signs along the way,
Talking it over just the two of us,
Working together day to day
And when the evening comes we smile,
So much of life ahead
We’ll find a place where there’s room to grow,
And yes, We’ve just begun.

Thank you so much for posting this! I often wish for people who can explain the insane manipulation and machinations that go into “manufacturing public
Opinion”. I was horrified to learn how many people-who would likely benefit from the legislation-virulently oppose it. No it isn’t ideal, it isn’t single payer or medicare for all, but it is a step in the right direction. The direction of love, compassion and care for all.
The coming battles over budgets, the debt ceiling, a government shutdown and Obamacare are not elements of a large political game. They involve a fundamental showdown over the role of government in stemming rising inequality and making our country a fairer and more decent place.
Anyone who doesn’t see this should be forgiven. The stakes in this battle are almost always buried in news accounts about tactics and obscured by an unquenchable desire across the media to provide the latest take on whether President Obama is growing “weak” and has already become the lamest of lame ducks.
Yes, Obama has work to do in quelling doubts about his leadership. But little of what we’re hearing offers enlightenment as to why this big argument is happening in the first place, and why it matters.
To begin with, this is not just a fight between Republicans and Democrats. The GOP is clearly…

AS PLUTO now slowly begins to move forward after five months of backward motion, we can review our personal lives over that retrograde period (April 12 to September 20) and consider what we have learned and how we have changed. When a planet is moving backward in the sky, its effects are said to be more internalized. Then, when it starts moving forward, we are supported in taking action in our outer worlds, based on the inner growth we have experienced.
Pluto’s ultimate lessons are about empowerment through revelation and transformation. For instance, someone working with a Pluto transit to their natal Moon this year are likely to become aware of deep emotions that have either been ignored or have lain dormant. As these emotions are revealed, often through power struggles and other intense interactions, this person has the opportunity to acknowledge what has been unconscious, and to find ways to use those powerful emotions in productive ways. This is the transformation of what has been perceived as a negative into its positive potential.
HOW THIS PLUTO EFFECT manifests for each of us depends very much on which house of our natal charts Pluto is currently moving through, and whether or not Pluto is working directly with one or more of our natal planets. Some of us are feeling Pluto’s effect more intensely and personally, but all of us are working with its energies to transform and empower some area of our lives.
As we look back at these past five months, we can consider these words from astrologer Bil Tierney about the effects of a Pluto retrograde phase:
“Pluto is concerned with confronting us with the essence of that which we have not transformed to a higher level of expression. It only forces us to transform that which is in dire need of rehabilitation. Resourceful Pluto will usually use whatever it can at the moment to make a deep impact upon our nature, according to the root vulnerabilities we have allowed to run rampant.
“Retrograde Pluto suggests that we have the opportunity, according to the houses involved, to retrace our steps and discover latent sources of power (hidden resources) formerly overlooked, that now can help us further our objectives in this area, once properly unearthed.”
USING OUR EXAMPLE of the person with a Pluto-Moon transit occurring, this retrograde period would have been a perfect time to look more deeply at his/her motivations, understanding more fully the source of the feelings that have arisen. The more resistance that is felt to self-exploration and the greater the need to blame others, the more clearly this person might understand the necessity of bringing what has been unconscious into consciousness.
Based on the self-awareness that our fictitious person has gained during the Pluto retrograde phase, he/she is now supported in creating changes in their experiential world that accommodates the greater understanding of self that has occurred. For instance, if there have been extreme reactions to feeling controlled or feeling taken advantage of, with Pluto now moving forward, this person should now find it easier to take charge of their lives — hopefully from a place of knowing their true strength, and not from a desire to reverse the pattern and become controlling themselves.
In this example, emotional strength has always been a part of the person, but has been hidden beneath wounds or uncertainty. The Pluto transit reveals the power of the emotions, which at first may explode in uncontrolled ways. Over time, and with self-awareness, the person can learn to channel the emotional power in life-enhancing ways.
SOME OF THE AWARENESS we have hoped to gain during Pluto’s retrograde phase may still be coming. Thought-full Mercury will enter Scorpio, the sign ruled by Pluto, next Sunday. And, due to going retrograde itself from October 21 to November 10, Mercury will be in Scorpio for an extended period — about 66 days instead of its usual sign transit of three or four weeks.
During Mercury’s lengthy transit of Scorpio, all of us can utilize its energy to go more deeply into our own psyches, to discover our true motivations — especially during Mercury’s retrograde phase. We can also use these coming weeks in positive ways to deepen our conversations with others and to empower our words as needed.
A CAUTION — with Mercury in Scorpio, our words will have a greater ability to sting than usual, perhaps leaving lasting scars without our knowing. We may also find ourselves feeling more suspicious or cynical, thinking pessimistically, or speaking sarcastically at times.
If any of this occurs, we can help ameliorate the effects by pulling our attention to our heart and high heart energy centers (chakras). Running all of our communications and thoughts through the centers of love and compassion can help us know which words we want to keep or use, and which ones first need to be transmuted. It will also help ensure that when we speak powerfully, our highest intentions are incorporated into what we are saying.
Thank you, Denise!

This photograph of the Harvest Moon last night haunted wise owl and Oracle Report Facebook member Kevin. It kept him from sleeping until he finally figured out how to capture it. Thank you, Kevin. We appreciate the loss of sleep in order to bring this to us. It is spectacular!
“Spectacular” definitely describes what is happening at this point in time. Simultanouesly, the highest desire of the collective of humanity and the highest desires of every individual in the collective are being granted. Our highest collective desire is the release of our minds from a cage of fear (the root cause of self-loathing, violence, and unimagined potential – all imposed from outside ourselves).
Our highest individual desire is the fullest expression of our true selves – our characteristics, likes, dislikes, and aptitudes. Oftentimes these things are hidden away or mired. We don’t see them in ourselves because they don’t look bold or grand. They don’t look bold or grand because they are seeds; they are undeveloped. They don’t look bold or grand yet.
I am writing about this to help explain why some may not be feeling the celebration.
Why is it that when a cage door is opened, a bird will not leave? Birds were created with wings, so they are meant to fly – not to be caged. But if a bird is unaware of its true nature to fly and the only “home” it has ever known is the cage, we can understand its reticence.
We are beginning a process where we will gradually realize that the cage door is open and that we are truly free to create reality in line with what is good and decent and honorable and OF THE PLANET. Our instincts are coded to this – it’s in our DNA.
To leave the cage, follow your instincts. Follow what feels like you. Follow what is fun (and if you can fuse fun with productivity, well, you have found one of the secrets of life). Follow your heart. Follow your gut. (There are neural cells all over the body, not just in the brain. The higher self communicates to us through these cells.)
It is going to take a while to see that the cage door has been opened. We have to de-program from the control.
Hold to the mindset of celebration this weekend. Find beauty in the natural world around you. Trust that a great blessing has been bestowed.
FRIDAY’S REPORT IS POSTED BELOW FOR EASIER REFERENCE. ALL OF THESE ENERGIES REMAIN STRONG THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND.
Friday, September 2013:
Before you get too disappointed about today’s photograph, you have to see the full picture. Clickhere to see the image of the Harvest Moon rising over Radisson Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada by C Tyreman and posted on spaceweather’s gallery.
Isn’t it that way in life? We see one part, but there is always a bigger picture.
What do you think the whooping cranes are doing in this picture? Your interpretation tells a lot about where you psyche is today. Are they taking flight? Running scared? Stomping around?
Or are they whooping it up? The highest octave of today’s energy says this is precisely what they are doing. Why? Because they are in tune with the harmonics of the divine being embodied as our planet – Gaia Sophia. She is in ecstatic celebration of the fact that humanity is awake and co-creating with a progressively strong harmonic of its own. The Harvest Moon is the marker
However…it will be challenging to remain in the mindscape of celebration because of many astrological effects, not least of which is Pluto stationing direct (appear to move forward in the sky again). Today, Pluto holding in its retrograde path and then stationing back to direct motion. Picture a rock in a slingshot stretched back as far as the sling will go, vibrating from the tension, and then forcefully released. This is what today’s energy is like. Pluto went retrograde on April 13, 2013, so you can think back to what was going on in your life around that time. That area of your life has been re-worked by Pluto. Pluto transforms at the very, very deepest levels.
Recall that while Pluto was in its retrograde motion, it made an opposition with the Black Moon. The combination of Pluto and the Black Moon equals serious, committed relationships. The energy of Pluto stationing direct today revisits this theme with events, circumstances, and situations related to relationships where emotions run deep.
Relationship issues are further enhanced by Venus’ approach make a square with Mars. Venus and Mars equal all types of relationships, not just serious, committed relationships like the way Pluto and the Black Moon do. Squares produce changes. We make sudden turns. Squares between Venus and Mars often incite anger and jealousy. Today, Venus is in exact trine to Chiron, the planet of wounding and healing, flavoring the energy with the tendency to hurt self or others based on the true feelings about self. We can be very harsh and critical of ourselves under Venus-Chiron energy, and if we can’t handle it, we usually project it onto others.
See you see the energetic set-up. This will play out throughout the weekend, and there is a lot to absorb here, so this post will remain throughout the weekend. If you revisist it later, you will understand it differently because the various energies will be playing out in our individual lives in a unique sequence.
Let’s return to the mission this weekend: to celebrate the massive marker in time, Shodashi’s Wave, where the tide turns toward light, love, and freedom. We aren’t just the wise owls; we are the whooping cranes.
As such, we are “in touch with some reality, beyond the gilded cage…” and with that, the song for the day is “Limelight” by Rush.
(Note: I often send a message to the Oracle Report community on Facebook about the song of the day, usually after the daily report has already been published. The Mahavidyas are indeed musical.
Thank you for posting this and for being a bright spot of inspiration in my day. To my readers, even if this particular post is not appealing to you I still highly recommend clicking over to check out this blog. It has too many wonderful articles for me to reblog them all.
