TELECLASS ON THURSDAY! Just four days left to sign up for my “Surf’s Up!” teleclass on January 9! Remember, “you don’t have to be present to win” — in other words, if you can’t participate in the live class, your registration fee still entitles you to the class audio replay and slideshow, which are emailed to all registrants right after the class is over.

I’ll include the teleclass announcement below one more time for those who are new to the journal. If you can join us, please do! Go tohttp://astrology2014.eventbrite.com to register.

WE SETTLE IN to the energies of the new year this week, assisted by helpful planetary aspects involving Saturn. Saturn has a reputation for being the taskmaster, lesson-bringer, and even “Lord of Karma,” but the planet also serves to stabilize energies, especially when in positive relationship with the other planets.

As we track Saturn’s journey through the week, we see that it sextiles Mercury on Monday, and then sextiles the Sun-Venus conjunction on Saturday. Sextiles occur when planets are separated by 60 degrees, and indicate opportunities — unlocked doors that are there for us to open and walk through.

These Saturn sextiles that begin and end the coming week provide some much-needed grounding, based on a deeper knowing of our own truth (Saturn in Scorpio).

RELATIONSHIPS may also draw our attention this week. Venus, the planet of love and receptivity, aligns with Mercury on Tuesday to assist us in communicating our hearts to others — but, with both planets in practical Capricorn, we are not likely to get overly mushy, even if we are expressing love.

Typically, Venus in Capricorn would tend to create commitment and stability in relationship — but, since Venus is currently retrograde (moving backward), we are actually in review mode in that area of our experience right now. We may find ourselves thinking about past efforts to create partnerships, and coming to new awareness about what did and didn’t work.

IN DR. PHIL PARLANCE, this is a great time to do “relationship autopsies.” With Venus in Capricorn and also sextile Saturn, we should be able to step back and look at issues with greater objectivity than usual, and so see more clearly both what happened and what we may want to do differently. This review process may be especially productive next weekend, when the Sun aligns with Venus and both planets sextile Saturn.

Venus will go direct at the end of January, and will again sextile Saturn on February 24. We can use this timeline as guidance to when it may be best to take action, based on what we are learning now.

THE STRONGEST planetary interactions this week involve Jupiter. The largest planet in our solar system is square (90 degrees away from) Mars on Wednesday, and is opposite (180 degrees away from) the Sun next Sunday.

Jupiter’s effect is usually true to its size — whenever it interacts with other planets, it exaggerates or enhances their energies. This can often be a positive effect, as long as we stay aware of the dangers of excess.

BECAUSE the aspects Jupiter makes this week are “hard” aspects, we want to be especially aware of a tendency to overdo in some way. With the Jupiter-Mars square on Wednesday, the natural desire of Jupiter in Cancer to protect can become “smother love,” and the natural desire of Mars in Libra to choose cooperation over confrontation can cause us to sublimate what we really want, so that it comes out later in passive-aggressive fashion.

When the Sun and Jupiter oppose each other on Sunday, we will be most successful if we focus on a balance point between the opposing influences. Jupiter in Cancer is very in touch with the emotional side of life, finding fulfillment in exploring feelings and learning how better to nurture self and others. The Sun in Capricorn is focused on practical goals and what needs to be done in “real” terms to achieve those goals. The Capricorn Sun would rather be stoically self-reliant and unfettered by emotional needs — whether of self or others.

And now, one final time, here’s the information about the teleclass: The key to navigating any opposition is to be aware of being pulled too far into either polarity. With this particular Jupiter-Sun aspect, we want to remain aware of our vulnerabilities and be sensitive to emotional needs, but watch a tendency to want to hide under a rock and not face our responsibilities. At the same time, while we want to stay focused on our ultimate goals and remind ourselves of our strength and self-reliance, we need also to be aware of when the small child within needs nurturing and sustenance.

I’M OFF to finish up the slideshow for class! I look forward to our time together, and to a great start to 2014.

About the Class

We have a powerful SuperMoon on January 1to start off our new calendar year. This New Moon is potent not only because of its proximity to Earth, but also because it sets off the energy of the Cardinal Grand Cross that we’ll be working with for much of 2014. This configuration involves Pluto in Capricorn, Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer, and Mars in Libra.

Since the new year begins in such dramatic fashion, it perhaps is not surprising to hear that the planetary influences during the first six months of 2014 will keep us on our toes! The image of a surfboarder is especially appropriate, given that we’ll continually need to adjust our center of gravity to stay in balance as we navigate the ongoing waves of energy and change. Knowing when the big waves are coming, and knowing when we will have calm seas, can help us prepare and ride the waves more effectively.

Imagine how the surfer feels when successfully harnessing the energy of that ocean wave – the sense of empowerment (Pluto), liberation (Uranus), joy (Jupiter) and self-confidence (Mars). This is the reward for taking the risk and utilizing the necessary combination of courage, perfect timing, and trust. This is what we are aiming for!

Join us for an enlightening and informative look at the first half of 2014! Registration and more information at http://astrology2014.eventbrite.com.

Blessings,

Pam

Everything is in Perfection

Everything is in perfection, whether we see this or not. The thorns, the leaves, and the bud are not the fully blossomed road, but all so necessary and perfect before the flower finally reveals its full glory.

Visit Ann’s Photo Site for more MESSAGE FROM THE ANGELS AngelsMy dear friends, we love you so very much.

Happy New Year! Welcome to a year filled with opportunity, if only you can embrace the perfection of each moment. Of course allow yourselves to dream, to take action, and to move towards your goals. However, when things do not look exactly as you wish them to be, don’t despair, fall into frustration, or give up on your dreams! Instead, pray. “OK Dear God. I trust you. You know the deepest wishes in my heart because you placed them there. You want more for me than I could ever want for myself. I will trust that right now, there is perfection in my life.”

Then dear ones, act as if everything is perfect even though you cannot see how. Believe that your life is moving perfectly towards your dreams. Have faith! The detour you are forced to take could save your life. The rest you are forced to take could be giving you much needed time to think. The frustration with not having what you want right now, might just be the delay God needs to help you clarify exactly what you DO want. Everything, and we repeat, everything has purpose. Everything has value. Everything is guiding you back along the rivers of grace into the Ocean of God’s love.

Can you surrender to this year, moment by moment? Can you be kind and gentle with yourselves? Can you refuse to beat yourselves up and instead simply learn from the outcomes of your choices? Can you trust in God’s love for you?

Dear ones, we wish for you a year filled with love – love of God, love of self, and love of others. We wish you the peace of knowing that everything is in perfection, and the joy of experiencing the very love from which you are born!

God Bless You! We love you so very much.

MESSAGE FROM ANN

The Best New Year’s Ever… A Visit to Heaven

Some of you have read part of this on Facebook but I’ll start at the beginning. As most of you who read this know, I broke a toe ten days before Christmas. I love the holidays and I didn’t let it slow down me down too much. As a result, by the time the Christmas festivities were over I was physically exhausted!

At first I was frustrated! I had such grand plans and so many things I wanted to accomplish during my vacation, but my body was screaming, “REST!” So I surrendered to the perfection of the moment, as the angels have always taught me. I went back to eating like a saint, slept 12 hours a night, and rested on the couch in silence or while watching positive programs all day. After a few days of this I graduated to playing in my craft room – something I find incredibly relaxing and something I had not made time to do most of the year. By the end of my vacation, very little work got accomplished but I feel amazing. I am more rested than I have been in years, and I’ve reconnected with the creative side of myself which is something I deeply desired to achieve this year!

By the time New Year’s Eve came around, I was feeling excited about 2014! Dr. Peebles, the angel channeled by my friend Summer Bacon, has been guiding many of us for the last nine months in a rebirthing experience in her Seasons of the Soulseries. Each month he led us in meditations about what it might be like to be a baby developing in the womb of the Divine Mother, and each month he suggested simple but powerful spiritual exercises. There was a promise of new birth and new life at the end of this work, precisely at midnight on New Year’s eve. I am sure all the rest and relaxation was preparing me for the most amazing New Year’s Eve I have ever experienced…

I decided to spend the night on my own, in silence and prayer, which is something I often do on special occasions. Fifteen minutes before the new year, I stood outside in the cool damp grass, praying in total silence, with only the stars glistening overhead, and the rustle of birds in the trees. I felt like the universe was running through my very being. The more I prayed, the more love I felt streaming through me. I prayed for everyone I know, for all of you, and for the entire earth, her creatures and anyone or anything in need. I could barely breathe the energy was so beautiful.

I finally got cold and went inside. I sat and meditated while playing beautiful music. Suddenly I was lifted out of body and taken to heaven where a line of clients I have known over the years, who have died, showed up and one by one, hugged me and greeted me. By this time I was bawling tears of joy. Next were my angels, my relatives, my dogs, Jesus, and so many others. The love kept escalating and getting bigger and bigger.

And as Josh Groben’s “Ave Maria” blasted in my “real human world” the clock turned to midnight, and suddenly I felt in heaven a phenomenal sensation of floating in one giant golden energy of communion where everyone’s good wishes were felt by everyone else. Flower petals showered from the heavens over the entire group as the waves of golden energy washed over us all. It seemed to go on forever, and ever. I lost the ability to think in words, to do anything but feel, and feel, and feel more deeply than I have ever felt. At one point I saw the bright light and went more deeply into it until I felt it running through my body once again.

Finally I opened my eyes. I called friends, turned on the “Rocking New Year’s Eve” and danced for the sheer joy of being alive. When people tell me how sad they are that they have to spend New Year’s Alone, I gently remind them of a truth I have come to know so deeply.. we are never, ever, ever alone. I often choose to be by myself so I can become silent and feel more connected with the unseen realms.

Happy New Year to all of you! I love you so much. I honor your bright and beautiful souls, your challenges, and your joys, knowing we are all one in this beautiful light of God’s love. No matter what challenges or joys, we are still that beautiful light. My prayer for all of us this year is that we may all experience that light more deeply, with more joy, and more awareness. God bless you and yours!

And remember… All is in perfection whether it looks that way or not. There is always a beautiful unfolding of our lives in progress – one that, at times, is hard to even imagine.

Have a blessed & beautiful week!
I look forward to another beautiful year with all of you!
Ann
