I’m not good at searching out media whether radio, videos or podcasts but because this is posted here I get an automatic email reminder. If you find these shows as interesting and informative as I do you should follow this blog. Mainstream media pointedly avoids covering important issues because they are owned by the same corporations that are committing the crimes.
I wish everyone who hangs “pretty Indian pictures” in their house or dreamcatchers would get informed and active standing with real living First Nations people who are fighting on the front lines of the war for the survival of humanity and the Earth (vs corporations and the corrupt governments who serve them)

Activist Sakura Saunders joined Indigenous Waves to discuss the twitter battle she had with former Ontario Minister of Energy and Environment, Chris Stockwell – leading to him deleting his twitter account. Sakura also discusses Barrick Gold, and it’s violent, militarized policies in South America and Afrika and it’s ties to the University of Toronto.

The Further Adventures of Dorothy, the Transgendered Chicken

A couple weeks ago, I wrote a plea for help on the off chance that someone in our Daily Kos community would offer a solution: Please help save Dorothy, the transgendered chicken. My sister and I had a problem. One of our beloved hens, Dorothy Lamour, stopped laying after her first season and then began to show masculine traits. Her comb grew. Her wattles grew. She developed spurs. None of these were terrible problems in and of themselves — but Dorothy also began to crow like a rooster. And we couldn’t have that in our neighborhood, especially as we have a neighbor in frail health who needs his sleep. So, with regret, we had to find a new home for her. Either that, or we would need to put her down, something we could not bear to contemplate.

I know it was an odd request but this community came through! We had three potential homes for Dorothy and chose a sanctuary run by a trans man who has a real touch with birds — a real chicken whisperer, we think. Thank you, mntleo2, for hooking us up with this gentle soul!

We drove over 100 miles yesterday to deliver Dorothy to her new home. We brought Dorothy, a kennel, 100 pounds of chicken feed, and a new harness for her (all the birds in this sanctuary wear them).

We knew we had found a good match when Dorothy just melted in Jeremiah’s arms. She immediately felt comfortable.

This morning, our backyard was so quiet. The remaining hens are missing their friend — and so are we. But it was a pleasure to see that Jeremiah had posted pictures of Dorothy on his Facebook page. So we will still see her this way and get news of her adventures! Yesterday, she went for a car ride while Jeremiah’s friend waited for his truck to be repaired and was very happy.

If this story teaches us anything, it is that gender in nature isn’t simple. Also, kindness offers solutions to all sorts of situations. It does! You all are very kind — and Ann, Dorothy and I thank you.

Spaceweather.com reports potential for an X-class flare from sunspot AR2051, which has developed a delta class magnetic field. But here is the highly interesting piece: The Earth is located at 14 degrees of Scorpio today; but the Sun was located at this degree on November 5, 2013 and produced an X-3 class flare on that day. So we have preliminary data that the Sun (the divine being named Sabaoth) and the Earth (the divine being named Sophia) collaborate using the energetics of this degree. Data is good.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is “telephone linemen at work installing new connections.” This energy always works to improve failures in interpersonal communications. It works to help us express thoughts, feelings, and emotions that have become congested or fouled up. The energy repairs damage. From this, new connections are made.

Implicit in the symbol is the need to make a “repair call.” This would mean asking for help. Sometimes we have to be wise enough to know that we need help. Fortunately for us, we have not one but two Wisdom Goddesses on duty this month to provide just what we need. Bhuvaneshvari is known as the World Nurse and Tara is known as the Rescuer. Cultivate a relationship with these beings by calling upon them when needed. Just talk to them. They are real. They are the emissaries of Gaia Sophia – aspects of herself that she “steps down” so that we can interact more readily.

Further, other energetics in play include approaching our worries or troubles from a new perspective, bringing certain things to conclusion, and recognizing that people are on various levels of awakening, understanding, and wisdom.

Saturday’s energy also asks us to find humor in situations and to see the lighter side. This continues yesterday’s theme of lightening our load.

The radical difference between Saturday’s energy and Sunday’s energy (plus the development of this sunspot) necessitates separate reports. I will post a Sunday report tomorrow.

Keep in mind that this month we are crossing new boundaries with a heavy load, using different lenses of perception. After we hear a wake-up call, a call to action, or a call to devotion, we observe the patterns and themes of the energy and ultimately unite with our spiritual comrades. The entire month’s energy intends a “nexusing” of people – putting people together, putting people in the places they need to be, and connecting/reconnecting people who have work to do together (including work at the level of the soul).

Today, allow the energy to repair what needs to be repaired. Take a light-hearted approach. Be on the lookout for signs and synchronicities. And keep those gorgeous photos of our beautiful planet coming! Be prepared to engage as a wise owl in the tree tomorrow.

Beloved family of light! This Sunday, at 21:00 Oslo time, it is once again time for another Gathering around the Pond. It is exactly one year since we had our very first group meditation, and I think it is a perfect occasion to celebrate ourselves. For WE are the ones who are making this happen, WE are the ones who by allowing ourselves to soak up all of this light is making it pour out into the rest of this world, and WE are the ones who have made these Gatherings and this Pond grow into such a vibrant, loving source of light. So thank you dear brothers and sisters, you are shining examples for all by the way that you continue to shine your light no matter what challenges you face, and for the way you continue to share so generously of your LOVE!
