Lynn Hayes | Planetary Illuminations June 2014

Planetary Illuminations for
June 2014
Dear friends,Mercury turns retrograde this month, but that’s not all – by the end of June we will have five planets in retrograde motion. I wrote a special article just to help you to understand what this means, and you can find it here.

Essentially, this is a time to look back into the past and reflect on where you have been and what that means for where you are in your life now.

The present moment is the only moment that is real, and we can change our experience in an instant by adjusting our thoughts and attitudes. Mercury is the planet of thought and communication and teaches us this lesson in June.

Retrogrades serve an important purpose – they encourage us, sometimes force us! to learn from the past. These periods of slow progress and inner contemplation offer us an opportunity to learn more about the present and create a more satisfying future.

News from me:

I am back to a regular reading schedule, but I do have a number of trips planned this summer so there is still about a two-week wait for appointments. I can usually fit in a shorter session with less notice, so don’t hesitate to ask if you don’t see a time that works for you.

Now on to the Planetary Illuminations report:

The complete article can be found on my website here. This email contains an abridged simplification that is easier to understand and read, but you will find the complete details, along with the list of planetary events for the month, in the online version.

Usual housekeeping stuff:

If you are new to astrology, you might want to start here for basic explanations of the concepts we’ll be discussing here. Please feel free to forward this article to anyone who might be interested. If this article has been forwarded to you, please visit my website to sign up for your own subscription! You can unsubscribe any time by following the instructions at the bottom of this email. You can “like” my Facebook page and stay up to date with all of the latest planetary happenings and new blog posts.

And, of course, if you would like to schedule a personal consultation please email me directly or visit my website for more information about readings.

Summary for June 2014

MAJOR EVENTS

Mercury will turn retrograde on June 7th. Mercury is in Cancer at the point where it retrogrades but will move into mutable Gemini, Mercury’s own sign, by the 17th and remain there until after it turns direct again on July 1. In Gemini Mercury can easily adapt to changes of direction which will help to lubricate any changes required as we turn to the past to revisit old decisions that may need to be revised, or to remodel our house or reassess our future plans.

Most of the planetary interactions in June are smaller and faster moving, so we will be seeing less of the dramatic shifts and strange patterns of the past few months. The only exception is the conclusion of the harmonious grand trine in water which ends this month (read more about that supportive process here).

JUNE DETAILS

Expect to be more interested in food and nutrition-related matters this month as Ceres turns retrograde. Care for the body is the domain of Ceres, and any places where this care is deficient will be noted now!

June 4th is a wonderful day to spend with loved ones or in creative pursuits. The urge for creative expression is heightened and the desire for inner peace becomes stronger.

On June 6th we are inspired to make a change – we are filled with new ideas and ways of looking at our world.

Mercury turns retrograde June 7th. Over the next few weeks try to pay more attention to the words you use, and be cautious when making purchases or signing contracts. It is very easy to overlook the details during Mercury retrograde periods.

The 8th is a day for healing – areas of our psyche or physical body which need healing may be illuminated now, and relationships are intensified. Everything may seem more urgent and important today.

On the 9th we will want to pay attention to the foods we eat and the ways in which the physical body is nourished. Neptune begins its six months in retrograde that day too, encouraging us to slow down our external awareness and turn within for spiritual sustenance and nurture.

The Sagittarius Full Moon takes place on June 13th. As with all Full Moons, the Moon in Sagittarius opposing the Gemini Sun. The Gemini/Sagittarius polarity encourages us to balance our curiosity about the world (Gemini) with the need to look for the essence of truth in the world around us (Sagittarius).

Healing and wisdom in our relationships is facilitated during this Full Moon, but a Saturn aspect emphasizes our obligations and responsibilities to the people around us. We may feel under this combination of influences that our duties to others interfere with our soul’s need to be free to seek experiences that teach us and some adjustment will need to be made in order to find balance betwen the two.

A challenging Mars aspect during the Full Moon could energize us to creatively transform our lives through the sheer force of our will. This aspect can also bring up repressed anger ( and rage. Fortunately a larger harmonious cycle of healing and building good structures will help to ensure that we are able to move through challenges to the healing process.

June 16th is generally favorable and could bring a significant event that helps us to stay on our correct path.

On the 17th Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini where it will remain until after it turns direct and moves back into Cancer. For the rest of the month communication matters will be a little easier despite the retrograde, since Mercury in Gemini is very adaptable to changing situations.

The 17th and 18th brings a couple of days of lovely interpersonal harmony. This is a beautiful time for planning difficult conversations, or for bringing people together for any purpose. Between the 16th and 23rd we may find ourselves coming face to face with an uncomfortable situation which we have avoided in the past so that we can work it out this time around, so these two days of harmony will help to soften any difficulties.

The mind is awakened on the 19th and mental efforts are facilitated. This is an excellent time for business efforts.

On the 21st the Sun enters Cancer, marking the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the turning of the seasons.

Venus moves into Gemini on the 23rd, and for the next few weeks communication will be the key to unlocking our interpersonal relationships. We may find ourselves meeting new people and desiring to expand our circle of acquaintances.

Between the 23rd and 26th or so we will feel a strong urge to break free of restriction and rebel against the status quo. During this time our behavior can become more reckless and we can be more accident prone. Watch for arguments and accidents under this influence.

This dynamic is embedded in the chart for the New Moon in Cancer, suggesting that the desire to find a place of emotional safety that Cancer inspires will be somewhat minimized by the need to find an independent expression of one’s ‘life now. However, another more supportive aspect will help to foster a deeper understanding of where our life is really headed and facilitate the integration of these conflicting influences.

The New Moon in Cancer seeks to find a place of solace and comfort, either in the personal family, the community, the “tribe,” the nation. There is a desire to connect and to nurture, and to find nurturing as well. The disruptive dynamic mentioned above calls on us to break out of our established ideas of what gives us that solace and comfort, to find a new way of nurturing our loved ones and ourselves that goes beyond the traditions of our communities.

A harmonious Neptune event in the New Moon chart will help to unlock the mysteries, and open up our hearts so that wisdom can make a home there. New Moons are time to forge new beginnings, and this New Moon inspires us to forge new pathways in our connections with our loved ones. Patterns that provided comfort in the past no longer work in the same way, and new patterns must be created in order to find increased compassion and connection.

Mercury will be slowing down at the end of the month in preparation for its direct turn on July 1st. The end of the month is a great time to look back and assess anything that has not yet been completed. Once Mercury turns direct our attention will be redirected into the future where we will have an opportunity for a fresh start.

As always, if you have questions about this information or would like to schedule a consultation to discover how your own chart is affected, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Peace and best wishes,

Lynn Hayes

EarthShift TV Video 1. Global Shift: Eurasian Economic Agreement and New Currency Altyn

Thank you for creating this new channel Lada! I know most people are not as reading oriented as I am and video presentations will reach a very wide audience. I hope everyone who usually follows the “insider info” from folks like David Wilcox, Ben Fulford, Poof/ZAP, etc will take note of Lada’s blog and YouTube videos because in my opinion her information is based on much sounder footing. Unlike invisible “insiders” who may or may not be disinformation agents, Lada presents information based in real knowledge of international relations and internal political realities in nations we in the West often have very limited or propaganda based news of. To this she adds her own higher awareness and spiritual insights to provide a rare Shift based assessment of real facts instead of speculation. I’m so grateful to have discovered her blog and now the YouTube channel as well.

EarthShift TV – Video 1

On Thursday, May 29, 2014, the leaders of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus have signed the Eurasian Economic Agreement. This, first video of the newly launched EarthShift TV contains fresh information, in addition to Lada Ray’s original article, which went viral, analysing the global consequences of the Eurasian Union and new Eurasian currency Altyn. Discussed are: Lada’s predictions regarding gold, natural resources, USA and US dollar, Russia, China, Eurasia and EU; history of the new Eurasian currency Altyn and its origins; Cyprus banking crisis and its connection to Russia’s gold reserves; what are the real gold reserves of China, Russia, India and Kazakhstan; long cycles of human development; plus striking images of the mystical capital of Kazakhstan, Astana. First steps to Greenland

Thank you for sharing your experiences of doing this research. I will pray for you, your crew and all those working in these dangerous conditions that everything goes well and safely this summer. I wish the climate denial crowd could read things like this and realize how completely absurd their idea of scientists conspiring to create global warming to gain funding really is!

Icy Seas

I am on my way to northern Greenland and just arrived badly time-lagged in Diez near Frankfurt from Philadelphia. Together with fellow scientists and technicians from Germany, Poland, and Canada, I hope to board Germany’s research icebreaker FS Polarstern early next week in Bremerhaven. Her departure has been delayed by two weeks for engine troubles that needed repairs beyond routine maintenance after she returned from Antarctica last month. She is the most heavily used science ice-breaker and spends more than 300 days at sea every year.

We hope to deploy instruments to measure ocean currents that transport heat to melt Greenland’s glaciers, but more on that elsewhere. This work is facilitated mostly by Germany’s Alfred-Wegener-Institute and limited funds from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). The mooring program on the continental shelf off Greenland near 79 degrees North latitude is…

NorthPoint Astrology Journal June 2 to 8, 2014 | Pam Younghans

Today‘s photo: Sun halo over Vancouver, BC, Canada on May 31, 2014 (photo by Kevin Lam, posted on SpaceWeather.com)

ONLY 10 DAYS until our teleclass! I’m getting excited for the event as I’m working on the monthly calendars for the rest of 2014. I hope you can join us!

If you haven’t yet registered, just click here: Finding the Trail Home. Or, if you need more information, I’m including a brief description of the class at the end of today‘s journal.

MERCURY GOES RETROGRADE (backward) this week. The actual station (moment of standstill) is not until Saturday — but, as always when a planet is preparing to change direction, Mercury is now moving very slowly.

Since Mercury represents our communication and thinking processes, this slowing can mean that our logical minds are less adept than usual this week and next. It’s best, given these circumstances, to give yourself plenty of time to think through anything, and extra time to get anywhere if you’re traveling.

REMEMBER that Mercury retrograde supports our doing more internal processing and less external implementation. Mercury will be retrograde until July 1, giving us the rest of June to work with this energy.

It’s not that we can’t make successful decisions during Mercury’s retrograde phase, but it is very important not to rush into anything. And, if you sense yourself doubting your actions, it may be an important indicator from your inner knowing that it is either not the right action, or not the right timing.

The fable of the Tortoise and the Hare comes to mind — “slow and steady” wins most races during Mercury retrograde.

NEPTUNE’S INFLUENCE is also heightened right now, since the watery planet will go retrograde next Monday (June 9). This may increase the fogginess around our thinking, but can also activate our intuition and spiritual perspective. In tandem with Mercury going retrograde, it will be interesting to watch how our minds work (or don’t work) this week and next.

Neptune will be retrograde until November 15. Here’s what one of my favorite astrologers, Bil Tierney, says about Neptune retrograde:

“This retrograde period is an opportune time to review hidden undercurrents of feeling with more depth and understanding. We can and should become more reflective. By being more contemplative, we are better able to receive inner guidance in regard to how we can best get in touch with inner feelings that normally escape our conscious attention.

“When Neptune turns retrograde, unhealthy structures in our lives are brought to our attention. We are given a chance to review our blind spots and uncover the deeper reasons for our vague discomfort [in the area of our lives represented by the house Neptune is transiting].

“We may now take the time to explore the fertile world of our untapped imaginations, allowing inspiration to lead us to greater awareness. It can be an excellent time to further strengthen our powers of visualization and imagery. Self-discipline is needed if we hope to receive this emotional and spiritual enrichment.”

OTHER PLANETARY ACTIVITY this week calls us to make adjustments in our usual ways of communicating and to be more aware of the power of words to support or undermine — intentionally or not. The challenges related to this theme are most likely on Tuesday (Pluto-Sun aspect) and Sunday (Chiron-Sun and Saturn-Sun aspects).

With respect to relationships, a Neptune-Venus aspect on Wednesday should help us connect with others from a place of compassion, but without requiring us to revert to self-sacrifice. There’s a slight bump in the road on Friday that requires us to adjust how we usually approach confrontation and to find new ways to work together. And, a Pluto-Venus aspect next Sunday provides the energy for us to successfully restructure existing relationships, and to deepen our connections with significant others.

And now, here’s the teleclass info — please note that you can participate even if you can’t join us at airtime:

TELECLASS IN JUNE
Finding the Trail Home
Your guide to planetary influences
for July through December 2014

There are two ways to participate:

1. Attend live on Thursday, June 12, either online or by phone, at these times:

4 to 5:30pm PDT | 5 to 6:30pm MDT
6 to 7:30pm CDT | 7 to 8:30pm EDT

2. OR, if you can’t attend live, you will receive a link by email after the class airs that will allow you to hear the replay and watch the slideshow.

ONLY 10 DAYS until my teleclass on Thursday, June 12! I’m calling it “Finding the Trail Home” because, now that we’ve made it through the tumultuous energies of the Cardinal Grand Cross, we have the opportunity to move forward in new ways — to come “Home” to ourselves in ways that we’ve not found possible before.

During the teleclass, I will talk about the planetary influences that will be working with us for the next six months, including the continuing effects of the Pluto-Uranus square, the October eclipses, a Saturn-Mars alignment in August and the Uranus-Jupiter trine in September.

I’m once again teaming up with Elsie Kerns, Wellness Educator, who does such a great job of handling all the technological and organizational aspects of the event.

As always, you can either attend live or just download the replay afterward at your convenience. For more information, or to register, here’s the link:

I hope you can join us!

Blessings,

Pam
