“To Boldly Go…” Scorpio Lunar Cycle Overview – October 22, 2014

Crescent Moon Phase: persevere

Moon in Sagittarius

Ruling Mahavidya: Kamala (The Goddess of Assurance)

Skill: forward movement

Negative Imprint: staring at the past or lost opportunities, giving up, wasting time, power struggles, arrogance, carelessness, stubbornness, aggression, bombardment

Positive Imprint: inner strength, resilience, stability, seeing what does not work and moving beyond it, deep connection, purging the past

Historically, today’s energetic combinations would bring us a barrage of difficult energies from “the matrix.” The Sabian symbols describe bearing the brunt of waves of assault. These energies victimized us.

But things have changed, and if you’ve listened to the audio recording for the Scorpio lunar month, the audio I call “To Boldly Go…,” you are wise to the fact that the wave of empowerment (an alignment of consciousness between Gaia Sophia, the Galactic Center, the Sun, and humanity) has overtaken the wave of victimization (the horde of the Archons).

Today’s energy is massive, raw power to mold reality. Since the wave that is aligned with the value of life has overtaken, we now just have to 1) realize it and 2) start to apply it.

Today is the day wise owls begin the practical application of wisdom. It’s also called practical magic. Today, the matrix is the focus of bombardment.

What’s the battle plan? Integrate the concept that you have power. You can think of it in several ways. You’ve had a wand of wood you pretended (knew) had power in it and now it has been activated. You played (knew) you were a superhero – costume and all – and now you’ve discovered you really do have a superpower.

Kamala, the Goddess of Assurance, in concert with The Universe attempts to help us understand our power today. Since our power is now a part of Team Gaia Sophia, we need to integrate our role and our connection in deeper ways. All that is required is the intention.

The barrage that we send to the matrix to further the advance of its collapse comes from amping up the mindset we are holding (and thus projecting, broadcasting, or vibrating). We respond to any abuses of power or power struggles. Aggressive tendencies will pop up in different places. When you see negativity (Archons) growing or if negativity (Archons) are attempting to creep into your sphere of activity, consider this mantra that was passed along to me by a very wise owl and has proven exceptionally effective for me and others:

“I broker no interference.”

Many wise owls may feel a call to action today. Many great leaders start out not knowing what the heck they are doing. George Washington is among them. It’s not about knowing what to do. It’s about being willing to stand up and start doing something. Others then follow and it works out. But nothing happens if no one heeds the call.

We are changing the field of consciousness. The beastliness in people and the beastliness of the matrix are becoming things of the past. Purge the past. Face forward. Move forward. Answer the call. Boldly go where the universe is taking you. Be alive. Catch some Sun. Find beauty.

At the end of the day, job well done.

On violence and vengeance: Rhymes for Young Ghouls and the horrific history of Canada’s Indian Residential Schools

Thank you for sharing this. I hadn’t heard about this film before. I was actually feeling rather down due to a conversation that forcibly reminded me of the denial most Americans-even many indigenous Americans sadly, are still living in with regard to the current and ongoing nature of colonization and genocide.
So many discussions give me cognitive dissonance because it feels like I am discussing one subject and the other person who is supposedly discussing the same topic, appears to be unaware of most of it. The repetitive references to anything negative re settlers to natives being only far in the past give me a sort of mental and emotional vertigo.
Your post appeared in my email just in time to reassure me that I really am not insane, or illogically fixated in the past. The problems are real, current and ongoing and it really is worth speaking out about it all in spite of the disconcerting reception.

Decolonization

Written and directed by Mi’gmaq filmmaker Jeff Barnaby, Rhymes for Young Ghouls offers an unflinching fictional account of Indigenous agency in the face of the horrors of Canada’s Indian Residential Schools. Set in the 1970s on the Mi’gmaq Red Crow reserve, known as the Kingdom of the Crow, the film stars Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs as Aila, a tough teenage girl with artistic aspirations and a deep-seated hatred for the sadistic Indian Agent, Popper (Mark Antony Krupa). Popper runs the St. Dymphna’s Residential School and the Red Crow reserve with an iron fist and his heavy-handed tactics mobilize a group of Indigenous youth led by Aila to exact revenge. In the end, Aila’s courageous actions free her consciousness and…

Astrology Journal
Your Guide to Planetary Energies for
October 27 to November 2, 2014

By Pam Younghans

OCTOBER HAS BEEN, and continues to be, a very powerful month! On top of the astrological events we could foresee — the eclipses and Mercury retrograde — we now have heightened activity on the Sun as well. In the past three days, we’ve had three X-level solar flares, and so far today, another mid-range M-level flare.

Solar flares are explosions on the Sun, and are rated A, B, C, M or X, with X being the strongest. Within those letter designations, there are also levels of potency — so an X-1 flare is at the low end of the X level, and the numbers go up from there.

In “real-world” terms, strong solar flares can affect electromagnetic fields on and around the Earth. Here’s whatSpaceWeather.com reports about these three recent X-level flares:

“There was an X2 on Oct 22, an X3 on Oct. 24, and an X1 on Oct 25. All three of these explosions produced strong HF radio blackouts over the dayside of Earth. In each case, communications were disturbed over a wide area for approximately one hour. Such blackouts may be noticed by amateur radio operators, aviators, and mariners.”

FOR THE MOST PART, science has yet to be convinced that humans are affected by electromagnetic events. But, I would guess that most who are reading this journal are of the opinion that, like the Earth itself, we have electromagnetic fields (auras) around us. And, just like the Earth, we receive and react to fluctuations in the energy field.

So, when SpaceWeather.com reports that HF radio signals were affected by the recent X flares, I think we can accept that part of our experience over the past few days has also been affected by those explosions of energy on the Sun.

TEACHER AND HEALER Jim Self writes this about the effect of solar flares upon us Earth beings:

“As the charged particles pass through us, many things are happening in our emotional field, our thought/mental field and our physical body. Our DNA structure is expanding, and alterations are occurring in the way we receive and understand information, as well as how we experience and express ourselves. These light patterns are providing choice and realignment. Where we put our attention now is more critical than it ever has been before. If we focus on the external changes and challenges, the path of transformation will be far bumpier and less comfortable than if we cultivate allowing, rest and ease.”

Is it any wonder many of us are on edge and/or exceptionally tired these days? There is a LOT going on energetically. Every energy wave requires us to make emotional, mental, and physical adjustments, on both consicous and unconscious levels.

WATERY NEPTUNE takes center stage this coming week, appearing nearly every day in our list of highlighted aspects. This is a very helpful influence as we assimilate the effects of last week’s Solar Eclipse.

Neptune’s lessons are always about Trust (yes, with a capital “T”) and Unconditional Love. When Neptune is in flowing relationship with other planets, we seem to have greater access to those higher vibrational spiritual, creative and emotional aspects of our beings.

FOR THE FIRST HALF of the week, Neptune is fulfilling some of the spiritual/creative unfolding that was promised in last week’s Solar Eclipse. The trine aspects that Neptune formed in the Solar Eclipse chart are exact on Monday (with Venus), on Tuesday (with the Sun), and on Thursday (with Pallas Athene).

That means that the beginning of this week is an especially fruitful time for us to access our creative muse, tap into the perspective of our high heart, and take that next step in our spiritual awareness and evolution.

THE OTHER Neptune aspects this week also support these developments, although there may be a small bump in the road on Friday, when our rational minds rebel against the other-worldly perspective that Neptune requires (Neptune sesquisquare Mercury). But by Saturday, we are feeling more fully in sync with that new perspective, and ready to take action based on the inspiration we receive (Neptune sextile Mars).

That forward progress is encouraged by the other planets, too. On Saturday, Jupiter and Mercury work together to excite us with new creative ideas, while Pluto works with Venus to encourage collaboration with others who share our passion. Even the Jupiter-Mars sesquisquare on Sunday, which is technically a somewhat challenging aspect, may only cause difficulty if we forget to check our egos at the door.

Blessings,
Pam

The White Problem — The Message — Medium

By Quinn Norton https://medium.com/@quinnnorton

This is Part One of a Series on Whiteness. (PartTwo)

“Politically, the Negro is the touchstone of the modern democratic idea. The presence of the Negro puts our democracy to the proof and reveals the falsity of it.” — Hubert Harrison, 1911

“I’m not saying that white people are better. I’m saying that being white is clearly better, who could even argue? If it was an option, I would re-up every year. ‘Oh yeah I’ll take white again absolutely, I’ve been enjoying that, I’ll stick with white thank you.’” — Louis CK, 2008

Contained in the struggle between black liberation and white supremacy is almost every issue that concerns us currently —

Surveillance, government control, privacy, security, maintenance of infrastructure — even pollution, environmentalism, and what has become climate change, they’re all there. Add to that tolerance of religion and non-religion, access to healthcare, dominion over one’s own body, the right of self-defense, the right of free expression, the desire for justice and equality. Each one of these issues is there in black liberation, and often explored at length long before this current generation was born.

This is no accident, no coincidence, because the making of black and white was the making of the world we know now.

Being White

I don’t think I was born white. I think white children are manufactured. There is a social process wherein neutral children get assimilated into the white race. I imagine there is something similar that happens to black children, but as I didn’t experience it, I don’t know much about it. This process is not contingent on the pallor of a child’s skin — there are plenty of pale people of color as well as swarthy white people. White beauty norms has never been the extent of whiteness. The making of white children has to do with how adults behave towards you, and others around you, on the street, at the playground, and the books you read and the ads you see. The white race is reconstructed, millions and millions of times, in each person’s life, growing up in America. And a defining part of that construction is inevitably a denial that it is happening at all.

When I was a child growing up near the beach in LA I was surrounded by people obsessed with getting a good tan. My first assumption, encountering the fact that black people didn’t talk to the pale people I knew, was that being so much better at tanning, they outclassed paler people in this desirable quality so much that they wouldn’t bother talking to us.

Like many childlike assumptions about the world it is adorably wrong, but it is a more logical interpretation of the facts than the insane truth as I eventually learned it. What is perhaps most interesting is the number of people who have argued with me that I didn’t think that as a child — that I never could have not known about black people and white people.

“It’s not possible,” I’ve been told, “because studies have shown children recognize the racial features of human faces!” These kinds of arguments have been made at me more times than I can count by fellow whites. What often happens next, if I ask what those features are, doesn’t belong in a civil conversation. But what astounds me most isn’t white perceptions of black people, it is that people are arguing with meabout what I thought as a child. They are not even arguing that I’m lying now, they are arguing that my recollection of myself is false. This is an incredible claim to make about someone you just met. It is just these sorts of claims, almost more syntactically bizarre than outright wrong, that white racial identity is based on. My childhood naivety offered me no escape — the world around eventually taught me I was white, and all that means.

This communication about race to children fated to be white is consistently bizarre. Contemporary whiteness in schools and neighborhoods is a collection of incompatible messages. Don’t be prejudiced against black people, we are told, who are poor and criminal. Here is a month we will study black people, and write an essay. We cannot openly criticize black people, that would be racist, but we will violently protect you from them, even in your own schools.
