Mike Lofgren | Art Does Not Imitate Life: TV Dramas Can’t Capture the Real World of Politics

Mike Lofgren, Truthout: Fictionalized representations of the American political system such as “House of Cards” are digestible to public understanding in a way that reality is not. A documentary of the skullduggery that went into introduction and passage of the Authorization for Use of Military Force in Iraq or Wall Street’s efforts to buy off politicians and evade financial reform is unlikely to appeal to a similar audience.

Justice in a Postracial World

Disseminating Moon Phase: share, communicate, express, feedback

Moon: Libra/Scorpio

Ruling Mahavidya: Matangi

Wise owls understand that as the day progresses and the Moon moves closer and closer to Mars, the energy will become more pressured. Mars is virtually at a standstill as it prepares to move backward a week and a half from now. From a stationary position, Mars is churning the energy like a hurricane at sea, building up force.

As the day wares on, emotions become more complicated. Though it is hard to recognize it as such, feelings of vulnerability enter. Generally we either retreat or act out when we feel vulnerable or threatened. It is important to understand that response to this energy is instinctual. But wisdom enables us to respond from a centered, grounded, sane position. Instead of being battered by the Moon and Mars, we can stand in place and move the energy in and out and all around us.

But we have further intel. Wisdom teaches us that the Moon and Mars will conjunct today at 27 degrees of Libra; the Sabian symbol for this degree is “an airplane sails, high in the clear sky.” This tells us that the objective of the energy that conspires events today is to help us transcend or go beyond things. We are carried to something new. We gain the vantage point of objective observation. If you get scooped up in the energy build-up today, stop and remember. Engage the wisdom that what is happening is trying to show you something.

For sure, higher levels are involved with this today. We are in the window of time when the Sun (the divine being called Sabaoth) activates the octaves of Neptune, sending massive spiritual information and energy. We are “dialed in.” This information comes through many forms – song, symbol, story, sharing, etc. Nothing should be relegated as coincidence.

This day is a day when warriors of the heart are the steady force that is needed to maintain calm within the field of consciousness. The moment that we become aware that we are responding to the energy with aggression, fear, impatience, and frustration and then switch immediately into “wise owl observer mode” is the moment that changes the field. It is a great act of power. The moment that we become aware that we have already responded to the energy with aggression, fear, impatience, and frustration and the damage is already done is the moment that changes the field. This, too, is a great act of power. No matter what we have done, our response to it at any point is the only thing that matters.

Stay grounded in place but let your mind sail high in the clear sky.

Daily Energetic Analysis During the Time of Awakening
Tuesday, February 19, 2013

First Quarter Moon Phase – Moon in Gemini

The skills of an acrobat will facilitate navigation of today’s energy. This implies that we will need to move fluidly between situations, changing and adapting to things as the day goes on. If you are locked in place with something – locked in a mindset, belief, habit, etc. – consider unlocking because rigidity will cause strife today.

The Moon made its monthly conjunction with the Black Moon earlier today, so the themes of the Black Moon in Gemini are stronger. The core fear of the Black Moon in Gemini is the fear of rejection, disapproval, and disappointment. We tend to try really hard to win acceptance from others when this energy is present. But this is the wrong way to go about things. The focus should be on what we want/need to do, not what others want/need us to do. We need to make things according to our own satisfaction. If you do face a rejection, disapproval, or disappointment today, look to see if you failed to look out or take care of yourself in some way. The Moon conjunct the Black Moon in Gemini always shows where we are lacking in our own self-esteem. So keep yourself in the equation today. Don’t hide your light out of fear.

I have not talked about this month’s ruling dakini because it is not a Mahavidya; the ruler is Nairatmya, a Diamond Sky Dakini. Others may disagree, which is of course their perogative. Since I have only been instructed by the Mahavidyas and have not followed Nairatmya’s energy long enough to be able to comment, we are learning about her together. I can tell you that she is quintessentially Piscean. By the Disseminating Moon phase we will have a better understanding of her, so watch closely and learn, and let’s share what we have found at Disseminating.
